The d’Arco Palace in Mantua, as it is today, was rebuilt in 1784 and the immediately following years by the neoclassical architect Antonio Colonna for a branch of the family of the counts of Arco (near Trento). The palace, which was opened to the public in 1980, substantially shows paintings and furniture being there way they were arranged before the death of the Marcheesa Giovanna in about 1872. The library, kitchen and living rooms have been recreated as they were at that time.
