A Walk

As part of the Canterbury festival my sister had signed me up for two walks.The first was titled "The Canterbury Rings Walk one - the Riverside Walk".It followed the route of the St Augustines Monks' water supply and the outline of the WW2 "Canterbury Fortress".The latter has only recently been discovered - it was part of the plan to resist the German army should the German's have been successful in invading Britain in 1940. The route included visiting St Martin's Church and the ruins of St Augustines Abbey.
