St Peter's Basilica

The guide Laura then took us into what she called St Peter's Church. Here are some pics taken inside and in the square outside that is so familiar from TV images when the Pope preaches to the faithful. I did not have the energy to climb to the gallery (as son Mark has done in the past) nor the time to wait in a queue for a special ticket.
